The Silverton Snowmobile Trail System is located in the San Juan, Rio Grande and Gunnison National Forests. There are over 150 miles of trails and most riding begins at the elevation of 9-10,000 feet and rises up to 13,000 feet. Some of the Riding is not safe until mid to late Spring due to the high Avalanche Danger.
